| Digital Cameras Project |

I loved one of my projects this week, writing a series of product reviews for digital cameras, for the new digital camera comparison site, Camerasonly.com.au.
Technology has developed a little since I was at school, learning about how to develop film in the dark room.
While the benefits of the digital camera are undeniable, I can’t help feeling a little sad that that era of photography is well on its way to being relegated to the history books.
However, with the continual development in the technology of digital cameras, the quality of the prints has been improved to the point where there is probably no need to reminisce over the ‘good old days’ of film photography.
It’s possibly the experience of photography classes that I miss.
They were great bonding sessions, running amok with my school friends in the dark room.
There was also the anticipation of seeing how many of my carefully planned shots were actually going to turn out to be something aesthetically acceptable, if not altogether pleasing.
I had a great art teacher who took me for my photography subject.
He was an older man, very easy going but willing to share his knowledge and creative insight to those of us who were keen to hear it.
The experience definitely sparked my love of photography as an art form, and my interest in the progress of relevant technology, even if it is tinged with the smallest touch of reminiscent regret for the old fashioned way of producing prints.
It was possibly because of this that I gained so much pleasure from writing these camera reviews for Camerasonly .
This is a new price comparison site , still being developed but fully operational, and definitely worth having a look at if you have any interest in photography, or just need a new digital camera.
I am going to be continuing to write the product reviews for this site (yes, there it is, the shameless plug) so if you are after product reviews it may be worth having a look for some examples of my work.
Check it out! Camerasonly.com.au!
